One of my favorite places to visit when in AK is the Anchorage Museum…the permanent collection is a blend of science, art and history perfect for visitors of all ages. The rotating exhibitions have been some of my favorites throughout the years. Last winter the GYRE exhibition propelled my own art making forward in a direction I had been exploring around garbage, plastic and the environment. This time as I was approaching I noticed the trees had a pop of color… the Anchorage Guerrila Knitters yarn bombed the trees with brightly colored patterns to welcome visitors.
